Our team at Tamburrino Family Orthodontics has always been committed to seeing you or your child for regular, scheduled visits. We believe it is critical in ensuring quality care for everyone we treat. With the changing times and the addition of Online Appointments, Dr. Tamburrino and our team have reviewed which appointments require you or your child to be physically in the office, and which ones can be done from the comfort of your home or office – over an encrypted video exam.
As a patient, you will still be receiving our exceptional, customized care and still seeing our doctors. But you no longer have to take 1/2 day off of work or more. You won’t need to take your child out of school or deal with traffic and parking. We are trying to find ways to continue providing the very best care for you in the most common-sense way possible!
What appointments can be done online?
- Retainer check-ups
- Growth and development check-ups
- Readiness for braces or other treatment starts for existing patients
- Aligner check-ups
- Progress check-ups for braces patients
- Rubber band check-ups
- Expander check-ups
- Some comfort visits (speak to one of our team members to help you decide)

What appointments require you to be seen in our office?
- X-rays
- Some clinical photos
- Digital scan (Impressions/molds)
- Delivery of some appliances
- Placement of braces or aligner attachments
- Braces adjustment, new wires, “tightening”
- Interproximal reduction
- Removal of braces
- Some comfort visits
- Repairs
To use the virtual consultation option you must be at least 18 years of age or accompanied by an adult.
**Orthodontic consultations for braces or clear aligners are always complimentary for both children and adults.
